Women in the Pursurah assembly constituency took out a massive rally on Sunday to thank Chief Minister Subhendu Adhikari for the Annapurna Bhandar scheme. The rally took place from Tilakchak to Athghara, with a large number of women participating to show their happiness over receiving benefits from the scheme.
Despite the heavy rain on Sunday, the enthusiasm of the women remained high as they walked down the streets. The huge gathering of women created a festive atmosphere along the entire route of the march.
Pursurah MLA Biman Ghosh stated that the massive turnout proves women have no doubts about the Annapurna Bhandar scheme. He thanked all the women who joined the event and noted that their support will inspire the government and the organization in the coming days.
