Monsoon remains active across West Bengal with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms expected in various parts of the state.
South Bengal districts will experience rain along with surface winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour in some areas. Kolkata will see a cloudy sky with humid conditions and chances of rain. Districts like Howrah, Hooghly, North 24 Parganas, and South 24 Parganas are also very likely to witness lightning and downpours.
North Bengal will see higher rainfall activity compared to the southern districts. Places including Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Kalimpong, Cooch Behar, Uttar Dinajpur, Dakshin Dinajpur, and Malda will continue to receive continuous spells of rain according to the Regional Meteorological Centre, Kolkata.
