West Bengal Assembly Speaker Visits Murliganj High School

West Bengal Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee visited Murliganj High School in Phansidewa, Siliguri, to attend a voluntary blood donation and free health check-up camp organized ahead of the 80th Independence Day celebrations. The event featured the inauguration of new classrooms and served as a platform for the Speaker to interact with students and local community members.

School Welcomes Speaker with Traditional Honors

Upon his arrival, Biman Banerjee was greeted with traditional Damsa-Madal performances by the students. The Speaker participated in the inauguration of new school infrastructure and encouraged the blood donors present at the camp. He expressed appreciation for the ongoing academic and social initiatives managed by the school authorities. The event was held as part of the institution's proactive efforts to engage with the local community through health services.

Focus on Educational Excellence

During his address, the Speaker highlighted the performance of the government-run institution. He noted that the school's achievements are comparable to, or even exceed, those of many private educational institutions. To honor their work, he expressed a desire to invite the teachers and approximately 50 students to visit the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. This gesture is intended to provide the students with exposure to the state's legislative environment.
