West Bengal Health Minister Inspects Serampore Hospital

West Bengal Minister of State for Health Chandrima Sarkar visited the Serampore Walsh Superspeciality Hospital in Hooghly on Saturday for a surprise inspection to review medical services. The health minister interacted directly with patients and nurses to check the facilities and services being provided to them. During the visit, the hospital superintendent was not present, so the minister could not speak with him directly.

Action Taken on Hospital Issues

Chandrima Sarkar noted a problem regarding opening counters in the hospital outdoor department and directed the concerned officials to start the counter as soon as possible. She also gave strict instructions to ensure proper cleanliness inside the hospital premises. The surprise visit created a stir in the hospital area as the minister emphasized improving health services and making better facilities available for patients.
