Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha announced that new development works will start at the historic Mata Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur. The announcements were made during a meeting at the Udaipur Circuit House where the Matabari Trust Committee discussed plans to improve facilities for devotees. The meeting focused on preparations for the upcoming annual Diwali Mela, which draws thousands of visitors from India and abroad.
Officials reviewed administrative readiness, security arrangements, and traffic management for the festival. Special focus was given to ensuring proper drinking water, electricity, healthcare, and sanitation services during the mela. Authorities directed all departments to finish preparatory works on time to guarantee safety and convenience for pilgrims.
Several ministers, local MLAs, and senior government officials attended the high-level meeting. Chief Minister Saha stated that the government and the Matabari Trust are fully committed to improving the temple complex so that devotees can worship comfortably.
