Tripura Police reaches Delhi to take custody of Amir Shokeen

A Tripura Police team has arrived in Delhi to take custody of YouTuber Amir Shokeen. He was arrested by Delhi Police for using racial slurs against a man from Tripura.

Police Action and Arrest Details

Delhi Police registered a case at Sadar Bazaar Police Station after seeing a controversial video on social media. The accused made the video about a month ago. Police conducted raids across Delhi and used technical surveillance to apprehend the accused on Thursday evening.

Legal Charges and Next Steps

The case was registered under Sections 192, 196, 352 and 353 of the BNS for promoting enmity and public mischief. Police will produce the accused before a court to seek transit remand. Delhi Police will coordinate with Tripura Police to question the accused and establish further details.
