Tripura Police and state rifles have mobilized over 10,000 security personnel for Durga Puja. The massive security deployment covers both urban and rural areas to maintain public safety during the festival.
A total of 2,905 community pujas are registered across the state, with Agartala hosting about 450 events. Authorities have installed up to 218 CCTV cameras, built up to 169 watchtowers, and set up 256 assistance centers.
Security measures also include patrol vans, bike teams, quick-reaction units, and women police personnel.Traffic rules include no-entry restrictions in Agartala from 5 PM to 1 AM along with dedicated parking and green corridors. Officials have warned against noise pollution and registered five cases against extortion while intensifying anti-drug campaigns.
Citizens must follow safety rules and puja committees must deploy volunteers for crowd control.
