Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha attended an event at AD Nagar Police Ground to oversee the distribution of road safety equipment to traffic and law enforcement personnel. The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of road safety and technology-driven traffic enforcement during the event. He underscored that saving lives and ensuring smooth public movement are key parts of his government good governance agenda. The state is pushing toward modern safety protocols and strict rule monitoring to curb traffic accidents.

New Medical College Planned In South Tripura

Earlier, the Chief Minister held a meeting at the State Secretariat to discuss a proposed medical college at Jolaibari in the South Tripura district. The project is planned around the existing Shantirbazar District Hospital under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram. CM Saha directed officials to prepare and submit the Detailed Project Report at the earliest to start work quickly. He also stressed that the upgrade of the existing hospital infrastructure must coordinate with the new medical college plan. Minister for Minority Welfare Shuklacharan Noatia and other senior officials attended the meeting.
