Seven railway workers were injured when the wooden roof of the toy train loco shed suddenly collapsed at the Darjeeling railway station on Wednesday morning.
The accident took place while several employees were busy at work inside the shed. The wooden roof suddenly caved in, trapping and injuring seven workers. Some employees received minor injuries, and
all the injured workers were taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
Immediately after the incident,
railway workers started rescue work to clear the debris and pull out the injured people to send them to the hospital. Railway officials visited the site after receiving information about the accident.
Rail officials have started an investigation to find out why the loco shed roof fell and if there was any technical or structural fault behind the accident.
