Uttarpara MLA Dipanjan Chakraborty has assured toto and auto drivers that no unilateral decision will be taken regarding the operation of these vehicles on GT Road. This statement comes after confusion and protests by drivers on Saturday regarding their alternative employment and vehicle operations.
The MLA stated that the confusion caused by a communication error from the administration will be removed.
All decisions will be made only after discussing with all parties and reaching a consensus. Drivers who face any problems can visit any of the four offices of the MLA to meet him directly, where their issues and suggestions will be heard seriously.
Dipanjan Chakraborty expressed commitment to take legal action against the administrative official responsible for the unnecessary confusion.
He assured that every decision will protect the interests of hardworking toto and auto drivers, and appealed to them not to fall for any rumors or confusion.
