The TIPRA Motha Party has officially approached the Tripura State Election Commission regarding a manipulated video circulating on social media during the ongoing Village Committee elections. The party stated that the fake video combines peaceful campaign footage with unrelated audio to mislead voters and create social tension.
Complaint Lodged With Election Commission
A formal complaint was submitted on behalf of party General Secretary Brishaketu Debbarma. The party claims the video wrongly shows provocative slogans being raised against a particular community during their campaign march.
Demand For Action Against Misleading Content
TIPRA Motha urged the election body to identify those sharing the video and take strict legal action. The party requested the commission to stop the circulation of the disputed content ahead of the September 28 Village Committee elections.
