Three people were injured on Wednesday in a road accident on the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway. The collision took place near the Dashdargam area in Ghoshpara Lalschool when a private passenger bus and a small passenger vehicle collided head-on.
According to available details,
the private bus was traveling from Siliguri toward Alipurduar while the small vehicle was heading in the opposite direction toward Siliguri. The impact was so severe that
the small vehicle was thrown off the road and completely damaged.
Locals helped rescue the injured from the vehicle and took them to a private hospital in Phulbari for medical treatment.
Jalpaiguri Kotwali police station personnel reached the spot after receiving information, seized both damaged vehicles, and started an investigation into the incident.
