Unknown individuals broke into a local liquor shop located near the Saini brick kiln on the Miranpur bypass, escaping with a significant amount of cash and alcohol stock. The incident occurred at a country liquor store in Rasulpur village, where thieves managed to bypass security measures to commit the theft.

Details of the incident

The shop salesman, Praveen Kumar, closed the establishment for the night on August 16. On the morning of August 17, at approximately 7:00 AM, the shop watchman, Qayyum, noticed that the exhaust fan of the building was broken and alerted the staff. Upon arrival, the salesman discovered that the shop was ransacked, with 31,000 rupees missing from the cash box.

Stock stolen from the warehouse

Further inspection of the property revealed that the lock on the warehouse located at the back of the shop had been forced open. Thieves successfully stole 45 cartons of country liquor from the storage area during the night. The shop owner has filed a formal complaint with the Miranpur police station, requesting a thorough investigation and the recovery of the stolen items.

Police investigation underway

Local authorities have initiated an investigation into the matter following the report filed by the shop owner. Police are currently reviewing footage from nearby CCTV cameras to identify the suspects involved in the crime. Efforts are ongoing to track down those responsible for the theft and recover the stolen cash and liquor stock.
