Teenager severely injured by high tension wire in Deoband

A seventeen-year-old boy suffered severe burn injuries after coming into contact with a high tension electricity line while exercising on his rooftop in Deoband. The incident occurred in the Kohla Basti locality, prompting immediate medical intervention and raising concerns among local residents regarding safety hazards in residential areas.

The victim, identified as seventeen-year-old Ayan, son of Babloo, was performing exercises on the roof of his house in Kohla Basti when the accident took place. During his routine, he accidentally came in contact with the high tension wire passing directly over the rooftop. The teenager sustained severe burn injuries following the electric shock.

Medical treatment and status

Family members immediately rushed the injured boy to a local private doctor for emergency medical care. After receiving initial treatment, the doctors determined that his condition was critical. The medical staff referred the teenager to a higher center in Muzaffarnagar for specialized treatment.

Following the incident, the local community has expressed significant concern regarding the presence of high tension power lines running over residential rooftops. Residents of the area have formally requested the electricity department to remove these hazardous lines from above their homes to prevent future accidents.
