The Union Tourism Ministry and the Arunachal Pradesh government are organizing the 14th International Tourism Mart at Tawang. The event will take place from October 29 to 31. Tour operators and influencers from 27 countries have been invited to the event. Stakeholders from the domestic market are also invited to join the mart.
The annual flagship event aims to show the tourism potential of the North Eastern Region. The region is often called the Ashta Lakshmi of India. The event provides a platform to promote the Northeast's natural beauty, cultural heritage, and adventure tourism. It also encourages sustainable and inclusive growth in tourism.
The event marks the return of the International Tourism Mart to Tawang after more than ten years. The district last hosted the event in 2013. According to the Arunachal Pradesh Department of Information and Public Relations, the mart will attract government officials, tour operators, investors, media personnel, and delegates from India and abroad. A preliminary coordination meeting was held at the Tawang Circuit House to prepare a roadmap for the event.
