Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari visited a private hospital in Alipore on Saturday evening to meet Mira Devi, the wife of former Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya. Mira Devi has been admitted to the hospital for the last two days due to stomach issues. The Chief Minister took updates on her health from the doctors and met her in person.
Mira Devi is currently in stable condition. After hearing about her improving health, the Chief Minister became emotional and folded his hands to seek her blessings. Both have known each other for a long time, and Mira Devi had previously expressed trust that the government would fulfill Buddhadeb Bhattacharya's dreams of industrial development in the state.
The state government decided to restore security for Mira Devi after her security was removed following the passing of Buddhadeb Bhattacharya. Mira Devi stated that it is a matter of good fortune if the Chief Minister thought about her and made this decision.
