Sivasagar Flood Relief Provides Water to 2200 Residents

Relief organizations and local administrative teams have started a humanitarian mission in Sivasagar, Assam, to help people affected by recent floods. The initiative has successfully delivered essential aid to more than 2,200 residents living in flood-impacted areas.
Water and Sanitation Support
The primary focus of this mission is to provide clean drinking water and maintain sanitation in villages surrounded by floodwater. Teams are using truck-mounted tankers to distribute water and providing halogen tablets to prevent waterborne diseases. Residents have also received containers for storing clean drinking water safely.
Emergency Relief and Oversight
Authorities have reinforced emergency relief camps with food rations, medical supplies, and hygiene kits for displaced families. The local administration and public health engineering teams are monitoring water quality at these temporary centers to ensure safety. According to the Sivasagar Flood Contingency Plan, officials are continuing to manage recovery efforts as the region deals with infrastructure damage from the floods.
