Siliguri Foundation Provides Vital Aid to Assam Flood Victims

Siliguri-based Unique Foundation has carried out a humanitarian mission to help people affected by floods in Assam. A four-member team traveled from NJP station on July 29 and reached Dibrugarh the next day to deliver relief materials.
Relief Operations in Sivasagar
After coordinating with the district administration, the team reached remote flood-hit areas of Sivasagar. The delegation, consisting of Shakti Pal, Geetika, Moon, and Kailash, provided assistance to approximately 200 families.
Essential Supplies Distributed
The foundation distributed critical items to the affected families. These supplies included food, clothes, drinking water, and medicines to support them during the crisis.
Community Support and Collaboration
The initiative received financial aid and materials from many people across North Bengal. The campaign was supported by organizations including GMS Alumni Siliguri, Nishkam Khalsa, and Lions Club of Siliguri. Shakti Pal stated that helping the neighboring state of Assam is a humanitarian responsibility.
