Siliguri Traders Raise Relief Funds for Assam Flood Victims

Siliguri traders and residents have started a collection drive to help people affected by the severe floods in Assam. The initiative was held at the local market area to gather financial support for those suffering due to the ongoing natural disaster in the neighboring state.

The Siliguri Hawker Corner Traders Committee and the Mahabirsthan Traders Committee jointly organized this relief fund campaign on Monday. A large number of local business owners and citizens participated in the event to contribute towards the cause. Siliguri MLA and State Tourism Minister Shankar Ghosh attended the event to support the initiative. The minister visited different parts of the market to personally collect donations from shopkeepers and local residents. Purpose of the Fund

The funds collected during this campaign will be sent to the state administration for further action. Minister Shankar Ghosh confirmed that the total amount gathered will be deposited into the Chief Minister Relief Fund of Assam.
