West Bengal Tourism Minister Shankar Ghosh visited the home of missing Siliguri businessman Samar Mandal in Shantinagar to meet his grieving family. Samar Mandal went missing during his Mansarovar Yatra, causing deep concern and fear among his family members. When Minister Shankar Ghosh arrived, the wife and father of the missing businessman broke down in tears.

Last Contact With Family

Samar Mandal was at the immigration center on the Tibet-Nepal border on the morning of the Nepal flood incident. According to the family, this was the last time he spoke to them on the phone, and there has been no contact since that day. The family is living in constant fear and worry due to his disappearance.

Minister Assures Search Efforts

Tourism Minister Shankar Ghosh discussed the matter with administrative officials after meeting the family. The minister stated that no clue has been found about Samar Mandal yet, but the administration is keeping a continuous watch on the situation in that area. Necessary efforts and contacts are being made to find him, and the minister assured the family that they will be informed immediately if any new information becomes available.
