Siliguri School Starts Diamond Jubilee Football Tourney

Vivekananda Vidyalaya in Siliguri has started an inter-school football tournament as part of its diamond jubilee celebrations. The event is taking place at Kanchonganjha Stadium and will run for three days.

Tournament Details and Inauguration

State Tourism Minister Shankar Ghosh officially opened the sports event on Tuesday. A total of 16 boys teams and 8 girls teams are taking part in the matches. The final match of this tournament will be played on Thursday.

Yearlong Celebration Plans

School authorities stated that various programs are planned throughout the year. These events will include sports activities and social work to mark the special diamond jubilee year.
