A high-level review meeting for public health engineering and public works departments took place at the Siliguri Circuit House on Sunday. The meeting focused on checking the progress of the Har Ghar Jal water project along with various road and infrastructure works in the region.
State Minister Ajay Poddar chaired the review meeting. Darjeeling MP Raju Bista and State Minister of Finance and Transport Anandamoy Barman also attended the session.
Discussions mainly covered the Darjeeling hills, Siliguri, Terai, and Duars areas with special attention. MP Raju Bista stated that the government is committed to providing road connectivity, housing, health, education, safe drinking water, and sanitation to every village. He emphasized that the main goal is to complete all development works on time and with good quality so people can benefit directly. Bista also thanked Minister Ajay Poddar for taking a personal interest in the welfare of the local people.
