Officers from the Siliguri Town Government Railway Police Station intercepted an illegal drug smuggling attempt at the Siliguri Junction Railway Station. The operation took place overnight between August 1 and August 2, 2026, leading to the seizure of 7.77 kilograms of ganja and the arrest of two individuals.

Details of the Arrest

Railway police personnel conducted a routine security check on the station platform when they spotted two suspicious individuals. Upon searching their belongings, the officers discovered the contraband substance. Both suspects were taken into custody at the scene by the police team for further questioning and legal proceedings.
