Siliguri Minister Checks Annapurna Bhandar Payments

West Bengal Tourism Minister and Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh visited ward number 15 on Wednesday to meet beneficiaries of the Annapurna Bhandar scheme. The minister went door-to-door with party workers to check if the scheme money reached bank accounts. During the visit, the minister talked to people to know their experience and verify if government services actually reached them. Shankar Ghosh pasted stickers thanking the Chief Minister at homes where money was already credited.

Details of the Scheme Check

Reporters were told by the minister that eligible women in ward number 15 received three thousand rupees in their bank accounts. Reasons for delayed payments are being checked by talking to beneficiaries who have not received money yet. Eligible persons left out can visit the MLA service center for help. Around thirty-two thousand women in the Siliguri assembly area have received the scheme benefit. Government help will reach all eligible people as per rules despite any public complaints.
