Siliguri will host a two-day cultural program at Kawakhali ground on October 11 and 12 during the Durga Puja festival. The event is organized by the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs of the West Bengal government as part of special programs across seven locations in the state.
A preparation meeting for the event took place on Thursday at the PWD inspection bungalow in Siliguri. The meeting was attended by State Tourism Minister Shankar Ghosh, the Sub-Divisional Officer of Siliguri, officials from the Information and Culture Department, and other administrative officers.
Famous singer Tirth Bhattacharya will perform on October 11 and popular singer Antra Mitra will perform on October 12. In addition to these main performances, various local bands and artists from North Bengal will present cultural programs on both days with musical performances and other presentations.
