Train services between North Bengal and South Bengal are disrupted due to track damage near New Farakka. Passengers faced major trouble after several trains were cancelled or delayed. Following complaints that private bus operators are charging 3,000 to 6,000 rupees extra as fare, the state government has arranged extra government buses.
