Saktigarh Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee in Siliguri marked its Platinum Jubilee by creating a pandal inspired by Rajasthan’s Hawa Mahal. Devotees in the city were especially drawn to a grand laser show rather than just the traditional idol of Goddess Durga.
The committee set up a massive laser projection measuring 50 feet high and 80 feet wide on the pandal structure.
The special visual display successfully depicted the Shiv Tandav and the Mahishasura Mardini form of Goddess Durga using modern technology.
Rathin Dey, Secretary of the committee, stated that they aim to introduce new attractions every year for the festival.
He explained that the recreated Hawa Mahal allows local visitors to experience the famous monument without traveling to Jaipur.
