Siliguri Congress Protests Against Civic Body Services

Darjeeling District Congress staged a protest in front of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation on Thursday. Congress leaders protested against poor civic services and alleged flaws in various departments of the municipal corporation.

Protest Over Poor City Services

Darjeeling District Congress President Subin Bhowmik led the protest and stated that city residents are not getting proper civic amenities. He added that there are many problems in municipal services and the overall condition of the city is bad.

Demand for Municipal Corporation Elections

The Congress party also demanded that Siliguri Municipal Corporation elections should be held as soon as possible. Subin Bhowmik said that an elected board should be formed immediately by holding elections and effective steps should be taken to normalize civic services in the city.
