A bus carrying pilgrims returning from the Ram temple met with an accident on National Highway 27 near the Goyaltuli turn in Phansidewa. There were over 40 passengers on board the bus at the time of the incident. All the passengers are residents of Assam and were heading home after visiting the Ram temple.
According to the passengers, a loud sound was heard before the bus lost control and plunged into a roadside ditch.
Around 25 to 30 passengers sustained injuries in this accident. Upon receiving information, the Phansidewa police station team reached the spot and rescued the injured. All the injured people were sent to the Phansidewa hospital for treatment. The police have seized the accident-affected bus and started an investigation into the causes of the crash.
