Siliguri Town Mandal-3 of the Bharatiya Janata Party started the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan on Thursday to mark the 76th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Party officials visited the Mayer Ichha Kalibari temple to offer prayers and pray for the long life of the Prime Minister.
During the launch of the campaign,
sweets and clothes were distributed to people. Candles were also lit inside the temple premises as part of the special prayers.
The BJP stated that
various service and social programs will be organized for an entire month to celebrate the Prime Minister birthday. The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan was officially launched as part of this ongoing series of events.
