State Minister Dipak Barman visited the Kawakhali Biswa Bangla Shilpi Haat in Siliguri on Friday. He inspected the current condition and basic infrastructure of the facility along with department officials.
The minister emphasized reviving the market so that local artists can use it to promote their art and crafts. He mentioned that restarting the haat is more important right now than changing its name.
Minister Dipak Barman stated that the current name lacks existence because the brand itself has no existence. However, the primary focus remains on making the market operational again for the benefit of local artisans.
