Sikkim CM Assures Help After Landslide In Rimbi

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang expressed deep concern over the severe landslides in Rimbi in Gyalshing district. He assured that the government stood firmly with the people during this difficult situation and that public safety remains the top priority.

Government Orders High Alert

The Chief Minister stated that authorities received directions to remain on high alert and closely monitor the situation. He urged residents to stay vigilant, follow safety advisories during the torrential rain, and support one another.

Impact On Local Residents

The major landslide in Rimbi affected more than 30 houses and forced several families to flee their homes. Heavy mud and debris from upper slopes damaged houses, disrupted normal life, and blocked local roads.
