Indian captain Shubman Gill said every part of his body was cramping after scoring a massive double hundred against the West Indies in Guwahati. India successfully chased down a target of 406 in the second ODI on Wednesday to seal the three-match series.
India chased the target in just 43.3 overs to win the match by eight wickets.
Gill scored an unbeaten 223 runs from 133 balls while Rohit Sharma scored 101 runs from 75 balls. Gill stated that
chasing 400 brought pressure and the team broke the target into smaller parts to manage the pressure effectively.
India became only the second team after South Africa to successfully chase a target of 400 or more in ODI cricket. Gill admitted that
the team did not bowl well in the powerplay and praised the West Indies for their aggressive batting.
Gill was named Player of the Match for his record-breaking double century.
