Security Forces Seize Illegal Weapons in Manipur

Security forces recovered a large amount of illegal weapons and communication equipment during a joint operation in Manipur. The operation took place on August 12, 2026, in the Kangpokpi district. A team made up of the Manipur Police, Central Reserve Police Force, CoBRA, and Rapid Action Force took part in the mission.

Weapons and Gear Recovered

The security team searched villages in the area and found many hidden items. Forces recovered one .22 rifle, five single-barrel guns, and live ammunition. They also seized walkie-talkie sets and charging docks during the search.

Suspects Arrested

Two local residents were caught at the scene during the operation. The two men were handed over to authorities for legal action. Security operations are continuing in sensitive areas across the district.
