A 15-year-old school girl was found hanging at her home in Phulbari, causing panic in the local area.
According to the family,
the victim was a class nine student at Valmiki High School and lived in Shriram Colony under Phulbari-2 Gram Panchayat. On Thursday morning, she woke up, talked to her family, and had tea and biscuits before going to her room to study. When she did not come out for some time, her family checked the room and found her hanging.
Police reached the spot immediately after receiving information about the incident. Officers from the New Jalpaiguri police station recovered the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination.
Police have started an investigation to find out the actual cause behind the incident.
