School Children Learn About Tea Cultivation On National Day

Students at a primary school in Araria district learned important details about tea farming, production, and marketing during a special program held on National Tea Day. The event took place at the primary school in Adivasi Tola Madhura under the Forbesganj block.

Information Shared On Tea Farming

Head teacher Mithilesh Kumar Singh led the program and told students about tea gardens and farming in nearby areas like Kishanganj. He explained that National Tea Day is celebrated every year on September 21 to highlight the cultural importance of tea. Former head teacher Kumar Rajiv Ranjan also spoke to the students and explained that the best tea leaves come from Darjeeling in West Bengal and Assam. He mentioned that Darjeeling tea is known worldwide as the champagne of tea due to its great aroma.

Cultural Importance And Activities

Speakers at the event noted that Indian masala tea holds the first rank globally and is popular everywhere. During the program, the school children also formed a human chain to mark the occasion.
