Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal campaigned for BJP candidate Debashish Sharma for the upcoming Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal campaigned vigorously for BJP candidate Debashish Sharma at public meetings in Morigaon and Nagaon districts.
Addressing voters,
Sonowal stated that women are a source of strength and empowerment. He highlighted that development is taking place across all sections of society under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Other leaders including Assam BJP President Dilip Saikia, Cabinet Ministers Rameshwar Teli and Biswajit Daimary, and MLA Tuliram Ronghang also took part in multiple campaign meetings to support the BJP candidate.
BJP candidate Debashish Sharma filed his nomination papers earlier this month at the office of the Nagaon District Commissioner. The
Election Commission of India announced that polling for the Nagaon Parliamentary Constituency will be held on October 6, and the counting of votes will take place on October 9.
