Sanjay Chakraborty has been appointed as the new convenor of the Siliguri department under organizational changes in the West Bengal Bharatiya Janata Party.
Party workers and supporters gave a warm welcome to Sanjay Chakraborty when he reached Cooch Behar on Saturday after receiving his new responsibility.
Workers greeted him at the New Cooch Behar station and took out a rally to the district party office where district president Abhijit Barman and other leaders welcomed him with flower garlands.
Sanjay Chakraborty said that he will fulfill the responsibility given by the party with full dedication and honesty. Previously, he served as the district BJP general secretary and held various important roles in the state youth wing.
He stated that he will work according to the instructions of the state and central leadership to make the party organization stronger and more organized in the Siliguri department.
