The Sports Authority of India Regional Centre in Guwahati organised the Fit India Swachhata Freedom Run 7.0 on Sunday. The event took place at the SAI Regional Centre in Guwahati to promote fitness and cleanliness. This run is part of a nationwide programme running from October 2 to October 31, 2026.
The nationwide run is held under the theme Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat.
The main objective is to promote physical fitness and create awareness about cleanliness and environmental responsibility. The initiative encourages citizens to adopt healthy lifestyles and keep their surroundings clean.
DK Mittal, Executive Director of the SAI Regional Centre in Guwahati, spoke about the event.
He stated that around 300 school students, officials, athletes, and coaches participated in a cleanliness drive. The cleanliness drive was organised at the centre as part of the Swachhata Abhiyan.
