Saharanpur Traders Honor Martyrs on Quit India Movement Day

Traders from Saharanpur visited India Gate in New Delhi to pay tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for India’s freedom on the anniversary of the Quit India Movement. The event marked the historic 1942 call for independence led by Mahatma Gandhi against British rule, which ultimately led to the nation gaining freedom on August 15, 1947.

During their visit to the national capital, representatives of the Saharanpur business community gathered at the India Gate memorial to honor the freedom fighters. The group paid floral tributes and observed silence to remember the sacrifices made during the struggle for independence. This annual observance serves as a reminder of the historical significance of the Quit India Movement in the country's journey toward sovereignty.

Call for Responsible Citizenship

During the ceremony, Sheetal Tandan, National Vice President and District President of the Uttar Pradesh Udyog Vyapar Mandal, addressed the gathering. He urged all citizens to become ideal citizens of the world's largest democracy by demonstrating dedication to service, patriotism, and hard work in their respective fields. The leaders emphasized that being a responsible citizen is a duty that every individual must uphold to contribute to the nation's progress.
