Saharanpur Administration Prepares for Independence Day

The Saharanpur district administration held a meeting under the leadership of District Magistrate Arvind Kumar Chauhan to plan the upcoming Independence Day celebrations. The focus of the meeting was to ensure that the national festival is observed with traditional grandeur and strict adherence to the national flag code.
Independence Day and Har Ghar Tiranga Guidelines
District officials have confirmed that the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign will be observed from August 13 to August 15. Residents are encouraged to display the national flag at their homes, schools, and offices with pride. The administration emphasized that the flag must be hoisted following the official flag code. It is strictly prohibited to display a torn, damaged, or tilted flag. After the conclusion of the celebration, flags on private premises must be taken down with full respect and stored safely.
Event Planning and Civic Responsibilities
To mark the occasion, various traditional programs have been scheduled, including flag hoisting ceremonies, cultural performances, and processions. Officials have been assigned specific duties to manage these events effectively. A cross-country race will be organized, and the top three winners will receive monetary rewards and prizes to encourage local talent. Additionally, the district administration has directed the municipal corporation and the Panchayati Raj department to ensure thorough cleanliness and sanitation across all urban and rural areas, particularly around statues of national leaders.
Public Safety and Appreciation
During the meeting, the District Magistrate also took the opportunity to express gratitude to the local citizens and social workers for their cooperation during the recent Kanwar Yatra. The successful and safe completion of the pilgrimage was attributed to the collective efforts of the community. Officials have also been tasked with managing traffic diversions during the scheduled route marches to ensure public convenience and safety throughout the Independence Day festivities.
