Rohit Sharma and captain Shubman Gill created history by recording the second-highest opening partnership for India in ODI cricket during the second match against West Indies in Guwahati. Chasing a massive target of 406 runs, the duo added 255 runs for the first wicket before Rohit was dismissed for 101 runs off 75 balls. Record Breaking Partnership Details

Rohit and Gill scored 3,058 runs across 47 innings together at an average of 66.47, including nine centuries and 16 fifties. The highest-ever opening partnership for India in ODIs remains between Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly, who made 258 runs against Kenya in 2001. Rohit hit 10 fours and six sixes during his impressive knock before losing his wicket.
