Road Accident Near Haridwar Leaves One Dead

A fatal road accident occurred in the Roorkee area on Saturday when four men traveling to Haridwar to collect Gangajal were struck by an unknown vehicle. One person died on the spot, while three others sustained injuries during the incident.
Details of the Accident
On August 15, the four men were riding on two separate motorcycles toward Haridwar from the Bhagwanpur direction. According to the report from Royal Bulletin, an unidentified vehicle hit both motorcycles near Hakimpur Turra village. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene immediately after the collision.
Victims of the Incident
Nanhe Lal, son of Chetram, a resident of Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, died at the scene. Among the injured, Brijpal, son of Rampal, from Bareilly, and Sahib Singh, son of Jagdish, from Badaun, are reported to be in serious condition. Sandeep, son of Jagdish, sustained minor injuries. All the individuals involved in the accident were residents of Himachal Pradesh.
Police Investigation
Local police and an ambulance reached the location following the report of the accident. The injured were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, and the deceased person's body was sent for a post-mortem examination. Superintendent of Police Shekhar Chandra Suyal stated that an investigation is underway to identify the unknown vehicle and its driver. Officials are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area to gather more information.
