Rekha Gupta met young people from the Ashta Lakshmi states at the NES.t Fest 2026 held at the Talkatora Stadium and praised their culture and dreams. She said that the confidence and ambitious goals of these youth show the new identity of the Northeast region.
Gupta stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi helped empower the Northeast through better connectivity and new development opportunities. She added that the Ashta Lakshmi states now play a key role in building a developed India.
Gupta mentioned that Delhi is proud to host young people and support their bright futures. She thanked the organization My Home India and senior BJP leader Sunil Deodhar for organizing the event.
