Raksha Khadse visited the Sports Authority of India center in Aizawl to check available facilities. She interacted with players, coaches, and support staff to understand their training and future goals.
The minister emphasized providing quality training, sports science, nutrition, and rehabilitation for players. The government aims to identify grassroots talent and provide proper opportunities through the Khelo India scheme. Projects like synthetic hockey turf and lighting in Aizawl were highlighted as important steps.
Mizoram has proven its sports potential in football and hockey with examples like athlete Lalremsiami Hmarzotete.
