Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Khadse chaired district review meetings for Saitual and Kolasib during her official visit to Mizoram on September 15-16, 2026, according to a press release from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The meetings focused on key development priorities, central government schemes, sports infrastructure, youth engagement, agriculture, connectivity, healthcare, and livelihood opportunities.

Saitual District Review

In Saitual, the meeting was attended by District Collector Shriniwas Sadi, Superintendent of Police Vivek Kumar Maurya, senior officials, and sports representatives. A major focus was substance-abuse prevention, where Khadse emphasised the importance of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan and stronger coordination among youth groups, community organisations, and law-enforcement agencies. Officials also reviewed agriculture potential, organic produce market access, and ground-level sports infrastructure requirements under the Khelo India Scheme.

Kolasib District Review

In Kolasib, Khadse chaired a meeting attended by District Collector H Dolianbuaia, Superintendent of Police Pu Lalrinpuia Varte, and other senior officers. Discussions covered road connectivity, healthcare facility operations at the Community Health Centre and Primary Health Centres, and agricultural support through the Krishi Vigyan Kendra. The review further examined the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme, Public Distribution System, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, local sports development, and youth mobilisation through the MY Bharat platform.
