Project Parichay Launched In Jalpaiguri For Newborn Docs

Project Parichay has been officially launched as a pilot project in Malbazar to reduce the trouble parents face in getting government certificates for newborns. Jalpaiguri District Magistrate Aditi Choudhury launched the project on Saturday at the Malbazar Sub-Divisional Officer office conference hall.

Main Goal Of Project Parichay

The main aim of this initiative is to provide birth certificates, Aadhaar documents, and caste certificates for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe children from a single place in a short time. Parents will not need to visit different government offices after a child is born. Local administration, the health department, and the Indian Post Department will work together for this process.

Where Is The Facility Available

This new service is currently started at the Malbazar Super Specialty Hospital. The administration states that after initial success, this service will be expanded to other hospitals in the sub-division in a phased manner. Malbazar is surrounded by tea gardens and tribal areas, and the administration believes this will greatly help people living in remote regions during the opening event.
