Indian boxer Preeti Pawar won the gold medal in the Women's 54kg category at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland, on August 1, 2026.

Path to Victory

The 22-year-old boxer from Bhiwani defeated Canada's Scarlett Savannah Delgado in the final match via a unanimous decision. Pawar is currently ranked world No. 3 and is an Asian Games bronze medalist.

Pawar won her semifinal match against Zambia's Catherine Mwape with a 5-0 unanimous decision on July 31. In the quarterfinals, she defeated Nicole Clyde of Northern Ireland with another 5-0 decision. In an earlier round, she won against Malawi's Deborah Mtenje via Referee Stops Contest (RSC).
