Police Visit Former BJP MLA House After Party Dispute in Jalpaiguri

Police visited the house of former BJP MLA Kaushik Roy in Mainaguri on Saturday to investigate a written complaint filed against him.

Dispute Between BJP Leaders

The controversy started on October 22 following a verbal argument between former MLA Kaushik Roy and BJP Mainaguri North Mandal General Secretary Gopal Sarkar. Following this altercation, Gopal Sarkar registered a written police complaint against the former leader.

Police Investigation Underway

Acting on the complaint, a police team reached the residence of the former MLA for inquiry. Both parties and the former politician have avoided making any public comments to the media regarding the ongoing police matter.
