A parliamentary committee will meet today to discuss crimes against children and government schemes in the Northeast.
The Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs will meet at the Parliament House complex on Wednesday.
The meeting will be held in two separate sessions. The first session will begin at 11 am to discuss crimes against children with the Ministry of Law and Justice. The second session at 2 pm will focus on the implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes in northeastern states with the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region.
Officials from both ministries are scheduled to attend. The 31-member committee is chaired by BJP Rajya Sabha MP Radha Mohan Das Agarwal.
Agenda papers have been circulated to all members.
